Emmanuel Ronald Bertrand

Project: Georgia, US; Higher Education for Rural Development: A mentorship program with Haiti's graduating college students to sup-port the municipalities (local mayors)

Ronald Bertrand is an Architect an Artist living in Atlanta. He is currently working with the City of Atlanta as the Director of the Vertical Program of the Renew -Atlanta Bond Fund . He is responsible for the renovation of the municipal buildings for city of Atlanta. He is a graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University. He is also a General Contractor for the state of Georgia for ERB Design-Build, partner a with Brookstone CDC a real estate holding company. Ronald is involved with projects from the conceptual stage and oversees the design of the project as it relates to construction issues. As an experienced design architect, he has a comprehensive understanding of the design of a project and the best way to handle construction concerns that arise in the field.

Ronald has extensive experience in providing architectural, construction management and urban planning services for both new and renovation projects. He is skilled in preparing conceptual designs, performing feasibility research studies and in delivering public presentations to community groups. His project experience includes a variety of project types, including healthcare, financial, aviation, recreational, educational, fire stations, affordable housing, assisted living, and continuing care retirement communities.

Many of his projects have been located in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Miami, Virginia Keys and Haiti and have been valued at up to $60,000,000. He also expanded his portfolio of project experience by working with well-known firms, such as Bermello, Ajamil and Partners, Williams-Russell and Johnson , Design-Build Concept, THW Design, and Grafton Architects.

He recently completed his CAPS, (Certified Aging-in-place Specialist) an area of expertize he acquires in response to the large amount of baby boomers living in this current housing stock.
